CO-NECT · Heavent Paris 2026

Every visitor lights up a trade on the LED wall

For CO-NECT's 70th anniversary, Gemini turns each visitor's selfie into a professional portrait. The portrait starts their trade's gear on the stand's LED wall and joins the day's «70» mosaic.

The LED wall at work: portrait no. 1 joins the 70 mosaic, all six gears light up and the finale starts. A local recording, cropped to leave out the QR; the finale visual is provisional.
In short

CO-NECT turns 70 and is celebrating on its stand at Heavent Paris (17–19 November 2026, Pavillon 4). On top of Peoplesnap we built three screens served by one Next.js server: the visitor's web app, the LED wall page and a team panel. Visitors pick one of CO-NECT's six trades, Gemini turns their selfie into a professional portrait, and that portrait lights the trade's gear on the wall. Once all six are lit, a full-screen finale plays.

The context

CO-NECT's trades, on the stand's wall

The brief asked us to connect a Peoplesnap experience on the phone to two animations on the stand's LED wall: one gear per trade, and a mosaic for the 70th anniversary. Every entry had to show on the wall and add to something shared. The six trades come from what CO-NECT presents on co-nect.fr, from project management to technical installation, and the gears had to use the brand's official petals without redrawing them.

Design and build

One selfie, one trade, one gear

The visitor scans the QR code on the stand or the wall and picks a trade, or taps «Surprenez-moi», which draws one and favours those still missing from the cycle. They take the selfie in the browser, can retake it, and choose whether their portrait goes on the wall. A Gemini flash-lite model checks that there is exactly one real face and that the image is fit for a public screen; gemini-3.1-flash-image then generates the portrait in the trade's scene, wearing CO-NECT's yellow crew jacket. In local testing it took 15.4 s end to end and cost about $0.07.

While they wait, visitors fill in a contact form that the team sets as optional or required. The portrait can be saved, shared, or exported as a Story and as a LinkedIn card, and the phone says «C'est à vous ! Levez les yeux» when it reaches the wall.

The wall page, /ecran, draws the six gears from the official spiral PDF, path for path. Each portrait is revealed (3.8 s), starts its gear (3 s) and joins the «70» mosaic, which keeps every face of the day even when the gears reset. One portrait per trade closes the cycle: a 14 s finale, then credits with the six faces. When three portraits are waiting, the animations speed up (durations × 0.6).

  1. 01

    Six trades, six AI scenes

Pilotage de projet, Design et scénographie, Fabrication et agencement, Signalétique, Logistique and Installation technique. Each trade has its role, its copy and its Gemini scene, and the team edits them from the panel without touching the code.

  2. 02

    A cycle everyone completes together

One visitor per trade is enough. A second portrait in a trade that is already lit gets its moment on screen but does not count toward the cycle; portraits that arrive during the finale go to the next cycle.

  3. 03

The QR code stays in view

The wall keeps a fixed area for the QR code during the gears, the mosaic and the idle loop, large enough to scan from a distance without covering the portraits.

  4. 04

A panel for the stand team

Seven tabs: what is playing now, portraits with manual moderation, statistics by trade and by hour with CSV export, a workshop to test a scene without publishing it, settings, media and access. There are three roles: admin, stand team and CO-NECT read-only.

Outcomes

Ready for Heavent on 17 November

Heavent opens on 17 November, so there are no participation figures yet. The panel counts portraits, trades, finales and contacts; we will publish those numbers and stand photos after the event. Two client deliverables are still to come: the LED provider's pixel map, replaced for now by a 1920×1080 output with configurable margins, and the corporate film with the approved finale visual.

  • Three screens from one Next.js server
  • One Gemini portrait per trade, about $0.07 each
  • A 70 mosaic that keeps every face of the day
  • Still to come: real figures and stand photos after the event
