AI costume selfies for the Halloween season

During Nigloween, Nigloland's Halloween season, visitors scanned a QR code, picked pumpkin, vampire, witch or skeleton, took a selfie and got a GenAI edit in seconds. No booth, no native app.

In short

For Nigloween 2025, the Halloween season at Nigloland, we put an AI costume photo experience on visitors' phones. Built on Peoplesnap, our photobooth product, the web app ran from a QR code to a GenAI-edited souvenir, with no booth and no native app. It was Nigloween's first AI photo tool, and the trade press covered it.

The context

Halloween on the phone, not in a booth

Nigloween is the Halloween season at Nigloland, a theme park in France. For 2025, the brief called for a memorable AI photo that visitors could take on their phones and share. Two constraints came with it: no booth to install in the park, and no native app to download before taking part.

Design and build

From QR code to costume portrait

We built the experience on Peoplesnap, our photobooth product. A QR code in the park opened a web app in French. Visitors chose a costume (pumpkin, vampire, witch or skeleton), took a selfie, and our GenAI edit returned the costumed portrait in seconds. The result was a souvenir made for sharing, created on the visitor's own phone, with nothing to install.

  1. 01

    Four seasonal costumes

Pumpkin, vampire, witch or skeleton: visitors picked their costume on screen, in a French-language experience featuring the park's mascots.

  2. 02

    From QR to souvenir

A QR code in the park opened the web app. After the costume pick and the selfie, the GenAI edit came back in seconds, ready to share.

  3. 03

    No booth, no download

Everything ran in the phone's browser: no booth to set up in the park, and no native app for visitors to install.

Outcomes

Nigloween's first AI photo tool

The app gave each visitor a costumed portrait made on their own phone, ready to post, and every shared photo added to the season's user-generated content. The experience bridged the physical park and the phone, with no booth and no app to install. As Nigloween's first AI photo tool, it drew coverage in the trade press.
