In short

For Alain Afflelou's Magic Sunny activation, we built a bilingual web app for trying on sunglasses in four selfies. The flow moves through the terms, a guided camera permission and the four shots, then ends with a choice: share them or keep them. The result is a retail activation ready for the store floor, with one clear funnel from capture to share.

The context

Selfies with frames, without friction

Alain Afflelou wanted a memorable activation for Magic Sunny, for use in store and at events. The idea was simple: take selfies wearing different frames. The hard parts sat around it. Camera permissions had to be clear, since a web app cannot capture anything until the guest allows the camera, and sharing to social media had to take no effort.

Design and build

Four steps, from terms to share

We built a web app for the store and for events, in French and English. It runs in four steps. The guest accepts the terms (CGU), reads a short screen on camera access, takes four selfies wearing different sunglasses, then shares them or saves them to the phone. Each step does one job, which keeps the funnel easy to follow from capture to share.

  1. 01

    Terms first

The intro screen shows the Magic Afflelou logo and a terms (CGU) checkbox. Guests accept the terms of use before the camera ever opens.

  2. 02

    A guided camera permission

A dedicated screen explains the browser's camera prompt before it appears, so guests know what to tap when it does.

  3. 03

    1, 2, 3… 4 selfies

Guests take four selfies with different sunglasses. The app lays them out in a 2×2 grid, so the pairs can be compared side by side.

  4. 04

    Share or keep

The last screen offers two exits: share the selfies on social media, or download them for guests who would rather keep them to themselves.

Outcomes

Ready for the store floor

Afflelou now has an activation ready for both the store floor and events, opened in the phone's browser in French or English. The funnel is clear, from capture to share, and each guest ends up with four selfies in different sunglasses, posted to social media or kept on the phone.
