A Trinity century as a physical-digital experience

A branded photo booth in premium malls: three photos (three Trinity bands), on-site print and social sharing, all feeding Cartier's CRM.

At the Trinity 100 booth in a mall, guests tap the screen, scan a QR code and pose.
In short

For the 100th anniversary of Cartier's Trinity ring, we built a physical-digital activation: a branded photo booth in premium malls. Guests posed for three photos, one for each Trinity band, received a print on the spot and shared the result on social media, while every capture fed first-party data into Cartier's CRM. It worked so well that we reproduced it in Bogotá, Panama and São Paulo.

The context

A ring's centenary, celebrated in person

Cartier's Trinity ring turned 100, and Cartier wanted to celebrate it in Latin America. The brief had two sides. The experience had to honor the Trinity legacy with real emotion, bringing the physical and the digital together. It also had to feed Cartier's CRM with first-party data. The venue was the premium mall, so every visit to the booth had to leave three things behind: a memory, a photo to share and useful data.

Design and build

From the touchscreen to the print

We designed the experience around a branded Trinity 100 booth, with a curtain and a host to welcome guests. Each session started on the touchscreen and continued inside the booth, which took three photos, one for each Trinity band, on three gold tones: the Trinity aesthetic applied to every picture. Before leaving, guests saw the result on screen and could retake it.

The result took two forms. On the spot, the booth printed a tall strip with the three photos and the Trinity 100 signature. On screen, guests could scan a QR code with their phone or share the photo on social media in one click. Every capture also fed first-party data into Cartier's CRM, so the celebration and the data came from the same moment.

  1. 01

    Three photos, three bands

Each session produced three photos, one for each band of the Trinity ring, on three gold tones. The ring's design became the structure of the experience.

  2. 02

    A print on the spot

The booth printed the photos on site, with the Trinity 100 signature, so guests left with a physical keepsake of the anniversary.

  3. 03

    Share in one click

From the booth screen, guests shared their photo on social media in a single click, which brought organic UGC to the anniversary.

  4. 04

    First-party data, every shot

Every capture fed first-party data into Cartier's CRM, so the celebration also left useful information for the brand.

Outcomes

One booth, three markets

After the first activation's success, we reproduced the experience in Bogotá, Panama and São Paulo. Across these three key markets, it brought high engagement, organic UGC and useful data for Cartier's CRM. Cartier came away with a format proven in three countries, from the booth and the three-photo flow to the link with its CRM.

  • Experience reproduced in Bogotá, Panama and São Paulo
  • High engagement at the booth across three key markets
  • Organic UGC from one-click social sharing
  • Useful first-party data flowing into Cartier's CRM
